But her appearance sparked a debate on social media about the people of color photographed inaccurately.
Take a look at the images below.
In the comments, one user wrote, “No it’s not that – the photographer didn’t even know how to properly capture Megan’s skin… in any of the photos. Hopefully he has learned a lot from it. “
Another wrote: “You clearly need a black creative director on set. It’s terrible. ”More comments pointed out,“ Hire BLACK PHOTOGRAPHERS. ”
“Why are you all doing black women like that ️ you all know they’re not even artistically pleasing you all hurt her, you all have to teach your audience that this is unacceptable in 2021” , wrote another.
“A black photographer should have taken the pictures of Megan. Megan looks gorgeous with or without makeup. However, white photographers almost never capture black beauty in the right light, ”commented another user.
Photographer Collier Schorr later shared that the rapper collaborated with him in the process. “A most remarkable experience taking photos with Megan Thee Stallion… who discussed each photo and then edited with me… a total collaboration as it should be to make new images of her together at this point in her life” , he apparently wrote.
He did, however, make his Instagram post private. Screenshots of his statement are available on social media.
Did it all say nonsense and come out Meg herself discussed each photo and did the editing in “full co-operation” with the photographer. pic.twitter.com/vNQ4pIUh8D
