The TWE group will increase the prices of non-woven products – Nonwovens Industry Magazine
The entire global economy has been grappling with a significant increase in the costs of logistics and raw materials since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic. This is now made worse by the increase in energy costs. These dramatic price developments have exceeded worst expectations and current forecasts indicate that they will stay at the same level or even increase further in 2022.
In addition, the situation is exacerbated by severe shortages of raw materials. TWE’s production and its products are therefore strongly affected not only by increases in the prices of energy and transport, but also of fibers.
âIn recent months, the TWE group has tried to absorb these increases internally and not fully pass the price increases on to our customers. However, the constantly rising prices and negative outlook now compel us to act and make it impossible for TWE to bear the cost increases on their own â, says Ralf Berens, TWE Group CCO.
As a result of this development, the TWE group is forced to adjust the prices of its nonwovens. Concretely, this means a price increase of 10 to 18% for TWE non-woven products.
âThis is the only way to ensure that we can continue to serve our customers with the quality they are accustomed to and be a reliable supplier to our customers, even under today’s difficult conditions,â says Berens.
