Sample photo gallery: Canon EOS R3
The Canon EOS R3 is the first professional-grade mirrorless camera from the world’s largest manufacturer, Canon.
While the Canon EOS R3 isn’t a replacement for the Canon EOS-1D X Mark III, which remains the company’s flagship professional and sports camera, it is nonetheless the largest and most comprehensive full-frame mirrorless offering. Canon’s worst – and it actually trumps its DSLR counterpart. in virtually all specification stakes.

In terms of action capture, it offers a continuous shooting speed of 30 fps – to put that into perspective, this delivers 4 more RAWs and/or JPEGs every second than it takes to create an image animated in Hollywood movies (which are filmed at 24 fps).
Beyond that, however, the R3 has a ferocious autofocus system that builds on the revolutionary AF seen in the Canon EOS R5 and Canon EOS R6. In addition to groundbreaking Bird and Animal Autofocus (which provides uncanny tracking of every animal we pointed a camera at), the camera features Eye Control Autofocus, which allows you to move the focus point by moving your eye around the viewfinder. , creating an “autofocus shortcut” to quickly tell the AF system where to go.
Sure, this all sounds great, but what do the resulting images actually look like? When you pull the images from the camera, what is their quality? Here we’ve rounded up some of our favorite images we’ve captured on the Canon EOS R3 – and you can click on each one (in the top right corner) to view them at full size, view them at 100%, and see how point these 24.1 megapixel photos contain a lot of detail.
