Poligof Expands to Mexico – Nonwoven Industry Magazine

Poligof SpA has completed the construction of its fifth production plant, located in San Luis Potosì, Mexico. Poligof-Mexico will support the group’s worldwide clientele by relying on the same technological, service and product performances already known for more than 40 years. The new asset allows the Poligof Group to expand its geographic footprint, thus creating the basis for its growth in the North and Latin American markets. Operations will begin at the start of the second quarter of 2022.

As a result, Poligof’s global product offering will now include breathable, non-sync printed backsheet films and laminates, as well as a broad portfolio of sustainable products. The strong increase in breathable film sales budgeted for 2022 (bringing a 50% reduction in plastic compared to standard films) will naturally and significantly reduce the carbon footprint of Poligof’s backsheet operations. Additionally, sales will benefit from a strong portfolio of durable films and laminates:

  • PoliGREEN and PoliBLUE from renewable sources
  • PoliBIO, biodegradable and compostable according to UNI EN 13432
  • PoliECO, with a minimum of 50% safe recycled polymers

In November 2021, ISCC PLUS certification will complete Poligof’s commitment to an entirely green transition.
