Harry and Meghan’s “signature pose” on their magazine cover is “unnatural and staged,” an expert said.

The couple’s new photos, released earlier this week, were taken by photographer Pari Dukovic at their £ 11million mansion in California.

They appeared on the cover of TIME magazine where they were praised for having “compassion for people they don’t know”.

The Duke and Duchess are often seen looking into each other’s eyes for the camera.

According to body language expert Judi James, the pose as they walk through a garden looking into each other’s eyes isn’t as straightforward as it sounds.

She told Fabulous Digital, “Looking from eyeball to eyeball can be used by a couple to convey all kinds of messages, from ‘I love you’ to ‘Put that pint down, we’re leaving !.

“The eyes are the most revealing part of the body and a look like this suggests a desire to tune in and read each other’s thoughts.

Combined with the kind of matching smiles Harry and Meghan wear, he’s also supposed to let us know that they’re fans of each other.

“When you do it as you walk like the Sussexes, it is actually an adopted pose rather than a set of natural, comfortable body language when performed as you walk.”

Fans laughed at the photos because they looked “awkward”, with one saying their cover photo looked “too photoshopped”.

The images were taken by photographer Pari Dukovic at their £ 11million mansion in California.

Their cover image for the magazine shows the couple against the backdrop of trees, with Meghan dressed in all white and Harry contrasting in all black.

Another shows them posing next to a window frame, with Harry wearing a suit and Meghan wearing a green turtleneck and gray pants.

But speaking to Twitter, one person wrote: “Terrible touch-up job. They look CGI.”

While someone else tweeted, “Wow, this pic says it all. There’s no hiding who’s in control.”

While one fan, who said he was ‘so proud’ of her inclusion on the list, said: “My only criticism is that the photo looks too photoshopped and fake. I don’t understand what the designer is saying. and the photographer were thinking, but this is not my favorite photo of them. Anyway, congratulations to my favorites !! “
