Elsner Launches ERS-180 Canister Stuffer – Nonwovens Industry Magazine
“When we design and build our equipment, are we always thinking about the next step?” says Jay Roth, Elsner’s Sales Manager. “We’re trying to think about what else we can automate and how we can deepen relationships with our customers. Stuffing has long been a problem and we have worked to solve this challenge by designing a pusher that is fully integrated with our ENR series retractor. We can now supply a complete production chain with a reduced number of suppliers, from the master roll to the wipes in canisters.
Elsner has been manufacturing world-class fully automatic perforating rewinders for the production of wipes for decades. With hundreds of machines in dozens of countries, Elsner has helped evolve the wipes industry since producing its first puncher in the 1970s. In response to Covid-19, Elsner has sold over ENR series machines than ever before and focused on providing solutions to keep production not just moving but running smoothly.
“The challenge of connecting the rewinder to the packaging equipment has been a problem for many of our customers,” says Bert Elsner II, President/CEO of Elsner. “As industry experts, we took it upon ourselves to master transition and integration. The result is the ERS-180 which provides the smoothest integration in the industry and a true turnkey solution.
The One-Eighty is built to typical Elsner standards with specifications that make production more efficient than ever. The name One-Eighty Canister Stuffer comes from the fact that the machine is designed to reach 180 canisters per minute to match the output of the Elsner ENR-G3.
