Diamond Wipes Appoints CEO – Nonwoven Industry Magazine

Manufacturer of wet wipes and personal care products Diamond International Wipes announced the appointment of Steve Gallo as CEO of the company.

Peter Nolan, President of Diamond Wipes and Owner of Nolan Capital, Inc., comments, “We are delighted to welcome Steve as CEO of Diamond Wipes. Our US-based facility and team have an embedded reputation for providing quality customer service and product innovation, and I have no confidence that Steve will continue to build on this strong platform. Diamond Wipes has invested in world-class equipment to deliver a national product line and unmatched quality capabilities, and we look forward to Steve leading the continued growth of our team through a customer-centric philosophy. Steve builds on the legacy left by Eve Yen, our founder, over 25 years ago.

Gallo says: “I am very happy to lead a company with such a rich history in product innovation and customer service. The parallels with the food industry in terms of quality assurance and regulatory compliance, development of sales channels and process optimization are very strong. The categories in which Diamond Wipes competes are growing exponentially. This role also brings me full circle in my eight years at Procter & Gamble in paper products. I look forward to further team building and business growth for the company. “

Jessica Lum, President of Diamond Wipes, adds, “We look forward to Steve’s leadership in taking Diamond Wipes to the next level. Steve’s experience will help us continue to grow our various contract packaging, institutional, retail and e-commerce business units.

Prior to joining Diamond Wipes, Gallo was CEO of POP! Gourmet Foods from 2018 to 2021, CEO of Chosen Foods from 2015-2017 and CCO of Sesajal from 2014-2017. He also brings relevant experience to the wipes industry from his time at The Pillsbury Company and The Proctor & Gamble Company where he held positions in the paper products area. He received his BA in Economics from Yale University.
