Be an informed voter with a sample voting tool
For the Arkansans, Monday is the last day to vote early. Ordinary voting begins on Tuesday. If you haven’t skipped tomorrow’s long lines yet, you can find your voting location and even a sample ballot via ballotpedia.org, “the online encyclopedia of American politics.”
Ballotpedia includes comprehensive election information for the 100 largest cities by population, as well as all legislative, state, and congressional races across the country. Users can click on candidates to read their biography, view past election results, read their campaign themes and candidate survey responses and more. The site also provides race previews if you want additional background information. Where the office names are linked, you can click to find out more about the race in general.

Here’s how it works:
- Enter your address.
- Select an upcoming election date, if there is more than one in your area.
- Consult the list of candidates who will appear on your ballot.
The sample voting tool includes: all candidates in every upcoming election in the 100 most populous cities in the United States, as well as all federal and state elections, including ballot metrics, nationwide national. Additional local elections and voting measures may also be included. Tribal elections are not included. Territorial elections are included.
You can also contact your state or local election administrator for a sample official ballot.
The election for the next governor of Arkansas will take place on November 8, 2022. The primary is scheduled for May 24, 2022, and a runoff is scheduled for June 21, 2022. The filing deadline was March 1, 2022.
